About

Double Coyote was born in 2003 out of a year long weekly gig at Elix Coffee in Houston, Texas, with Andrew Gordon on bass and Fernando Ledesma on percussion.  Thanks to Carlos and Henry of the former Elix Coffee, Double Coyote hatched a dream that lives on today. Fernando became a permanent member of Double Coyote in 2003 and although Kris and Ginger are now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he continues to contribute his percussion magic when the group performs in Houston.

Double Coyote has played at many venues and events in Houston, including Birraporetti’s, The Fire Museum, University of Houston Latin Film Festival, Katy Performing Arts Society, Vinoteca, Pasta Lomontes, Harvest Coffee, Houston Flute Club Flute Festival, St. Arnold’s Brewery, Hungry’s, The Vine Wine Room, The Daily Review, Dharma and was the Friday Happy Hour Band at the  Shakespeare Pub for 2 years up until the day they left town.

Since 2009, Double Coyote has been performing in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Taos, New Mexico.  The group has played at Scott’s Seafood in Palo Alto, 88 Keys in Morgan Hill, The Milias Restaurant in Gilroy, The McGee Creek Lodge in Crowley Lake, as well as for private events.
